Ekrem, a lifelong “Turkish cowboy” and Goreme native, is known locally as a blend of The Horse Whisperer and Doctor Doolittle. Just minutes from Goreme’s center, his ranch offers stunning views of Sword Valley, with horses grazing among ancient rock formations. What should I wear for horse riding or trekking?We recommend long pants (jeans or riding leggings), closed-toe shoes (preferably boots), and weather-appropriate clothing. Helmets are provided and required for all riders. Having a backpack during tours is dangerous and forbidden.

Do I need prior horse riding experience to join a tour?Not at all! Our tours are designed for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced riders. Our guides provide a short safety and riding briefing before each ride to ensure you feel comfortable and confident.

Are there age or weight limits for riding?You need to be 10 years old or older to participate in the tours. There is a 90 kg limit for horse riding.
